The product allows the switching and dimming of up to 64 DALI lights (e.g. electronic ballasts..) . It is possible to use 6 different addressing methods that allow the sending of group or individual commands via KNX telegrams. This allows a high level of integration for the lighting of a specific environment, for example in projects such as offices, showrooms, etc. Depending on the configuration, up to 32 independent DALI groups are available for group addressing. Alternatively, 64 individual addresses can be used via the 64 channels of the DALI device. Optionally, total control of all connected DALI devices (broadcast) is possible. In the latter case, it is not necessary to program the DALI network.
The device is powered entirely by mains voltage and generates the voltage required for the DALI mains (typ. DC 16 V). Color Temperature Control (DALI Device Type 8)
The DALI Gateway supports the control of DALI devices of the “Color Control” type (DALI Device Type 8) in particular in the “Tunable White (TW)” version. This makes it capable of controlling the color temperature of a lamp through specific DALI functions. The Gateway allows the control of the color temperature by relative or absolute variation, as well as through scenarios and effects. The color temperature control is largely independent of the brightness control and the device used.
