The DALI® LR00A01DAL repeater is a 3-unit DIN rail module and features an interface with 4 diagnostic LEDs for intuitive and simplified monitoring. This device allows you to extend the maximum length of the DALI bus from 300 to 600 meters, while also offering an extra 250 mA of current to support more devices.
The DALI® LR00A01DAL repeater is designed as a 3-unit DIN rail module and features an interface with 4 diagnostic LEDs for intuitive and simplified monitoring. This device allows you to extend the maximum length of the DALI bus from 300 to 600 meters, while also offering an extra 250 mA of current to support more devices.
The repeater does not increase the number of available DALI addresses: the limit of 64 addresses for control devices (such as LED drivers or relays) and 64 for input devices (such as sensors or buttons) remains unchanged. Finally, multiple repeaters can be connected in parallel on the “IN” side, but series (cascading) connection is not allowed, as this would cause propagation delays and communication errors. This device consumes less than 2 mA on the “IN” side but provides 230 mA of DALI current on the “OUT” side.
For installation, the main DALI network, usually connected to the controller, must be connected to the “IN” side of the repeater. The network extension, on the other hand, must be connected to the “OUT” side. Unlike the “IN” side which is powered directly from the DALI master bus, the “OUT” side supplies the current thanks to the external power supply of the repeater, which requires a voltage of 100÷240 V~ AC.
