The TC28A01KNX device is an EIB/KNX secure DIN rail actuator for the control of fan coils.
The device has 8 logic blocks with which to create simple expressions with logical or threshold operator, or complex expressions with conditional algebraic operators and use predefined algorithms such as proportional temperature and humidity controls or dew point calculation.
The “climate curve” function is also available, which allows you to adjust the flow temperature of the heating system according to external conditions, optimizing comfort and reducing energy consumption.
The device has 3 0-10 V outputs and 5 16 A relays, all freely configurable.
In a typical application, two 0-10 V outputs can be dedicated to the management of proportional valves, speed management can be done through the third 0-10 V output or with the relays on board. If the relays are not used for speed or valve control, they can activate lights or other loads.
There are also 2 digital inputs for dry contact for the connection of buttons, window contacts, alarms; the 2 inputs can be configured as analog inputs for the connection of NTC temperature probes (code Eelectron TS01A01ACC, TS01B01ACC, TS01C01ACC and TS01D01ACC).
The first input is alternatively configurable as a “Plugin Sensor” for connecting plug-in sensors SM03E03ACC which includes a temperature, humidity, CO2 and VOC sensor or SM03E02ACC which includes a temperature, VOC and CO2 equivalent sensor.
The device integrates 2 two-stage thermostats with integrated PI controller for driving heating, cooling equipment, valves, 6-way valves, 2 and 4-pipe fan coils.
The device also integrates the “Virtual Pocket Logic”; The field of application is the hotel room: by means of a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input, accurate presence information is managed.
