PD00M01KNX

KNX presence sensor MicroFL

The range of Eelectron micro presence sensors suitable for ceiling mounting consists of 2 versions: one with a round lens (PD00M01KNX) and one with a square lens (PD00M06KNX), both available in white or black finish and suitable for mounting up to 4 m in height.

These versions also include a brightness sensor for controlling ambient lighting.

Technical highlights & Configuration

Core Features

Presence detection, based on a passive infrared sensor, has 5 independently configurable channels with different functions that can be activated: presence with or without brightness control and with automatic or semi-automatic detection; constant brightness independent or dependent on presence and with automatic or semi-automatic activation.

There are also 8 logic blocks with which to create simple expressions with logical or threshold operators or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators or use predefined algorithms such as proportional temperature and humidity controls or dew point calculation. The device manages the ambient lighting based on the measured brightness; it is also possible to enable the logic called “Circadian Rhythm” with which brightness and color temperature are imposed on the basis of predefined curves or on the basis of the real position of the sun during the day with respect to a terrestrial coordinate. This function allows lighting comfort to be recreated in a room that is as close to reality as possible.

Technical Data

Room brightness measurement is carried out indirectly and calibration is therefore required. The sensor is installed on the ceiling and the brightness detected may differ significantly from that of the worktop; Using the ETS® Software and the DCA (Sensor Calibration Tool), correction parameters can be set for the device based on an on-site measurement using a lux meter.

Do not allow sunlight or artificial light to shine directly into the sensor.

The sensor allows you to set different levels of sensitivity; Please read the following notes carefully for proper installation of the device and setting of sensitivity parameters.

The sensor detects the difference between the ambient temperature and the temperature of moving objects and people; the lower this temperature difference, the less sensitive the sensor will be.

For correct coverage of the sensor monitoring area, do not allow walls (including glass) or furniture to be obstructed; if this is not possible, it is possible to increase the number of sensors in the area to have complete coverage.

Always mount the sensor on a stable site that is not subject to vibration or oscillation that could simulate movement.

Luminaires placed near the sensor or in the monitored area can cause false detections, avoid this type of interference as much as possible.

Do not have heat-producing appliances such as fan coils, printers, lamps, etc., or objects that move due to wind or drafts in the coverage area.

The device can be configured via the ETS application program and can communicate with the KNX® Data Secure protocol. KNX communication interface is included.

Mounting & Compatibility

The device integrates the Virtual Pocket Logic, designed for applications in the hotel sector, which allows advanced and reliable management of presence information within the room. The logic is based on the acquisition of the status of a magnetic contact installed on the door and connected to a digital input and on the processing of data from one or more presence sensors. The combination of this information allows the system to consistently deduce the actual occupancy of the environment, to detect unexpected presences and to distinguish different occupant behaviors, ensuring a more accurate management of the presence states.
