Provides 5 independently configurable channels with selectable functions: presence with or without brightness control, with automatic or semi-automatic operation; constant brightness control, independent or presence dependent, with automatic or semi-automatic activation. 8 logic blocks are available to implement simple logical/threshold expressions or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators, and to run predefined algorithms (e.g., proportional temperature/humidity control, dew point calculation).
As the ceiling-mounted sensor reading may differ from the work-plane level, correction parameters can be set via ETS® and DCA (Sensor Calibration Tool) using an on-site lux meter measurement. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial light shining onto the sensor.
Adjustable sensitivity levels are available: detection depends on the temperature difference between ambient and moving people/objects (lower difference = lower sensitivity). For correct coverage, avoid obstacles (walls, including glass, or furniture) or increase the number of sensors. Mount on a stable surface (no vibration/oscillation). Nearby lighting fixtures may cause false detections; minimize interference. Avoid heat sources (fan coils, printers, lamps, etc.) and moving objects caused by air currents. The device is configurable via ETS and supports KNX® Data Secure; KNX communication interface included.
The device integrates “Virtual Holder Logic”, designed for hospitality applications, for advanced and reliable occupancy management. It combines the status of a door magnetic contact (connected to a digital input) with data from one or more presence sensors to consistently infer actual occupancy, detect unexpected presence, and distinguish different occupant behaviors. Ambient lighting is managed based on measured illuminance; the “Circadian Rhythm” function can also be enabled to impose brightness and color temperature using predefined curves or the real sun position during the day (terrestrial coordinates), recreating lighting comfort as close as possible to natural conditions.
