The TR22A11KNX-EXT outdoor reader is an EIB/KNX product dedicated to access control with IP42 protection. Customizable, versatile and modular, it adapts to any application. Characterized by the possibility of mounting on rectangular flush-mounted boxes with 2 or 3 modules and round.
The device is a KNX transponder readerThe KNX transponder reader is equipped with two physical ON/OFF inputs available for controlling the door open/closed contact or other signals (window contact, bathroom alarm pull, etc.).
On the device there are two relays for the management of the lock and for the control of the courtesy light or other use. On the front of the reader there are 4 LEDs, 3 of which are freely configurable, used respectively for signaling access: access granted, access denied, distress request, redo occupied room or do not disturb. The transponder is read by placing it in front of the reader, at a maximum distance of 30 mm. The first data checked is the plant number. If the code is consistent, the validity of the “date” field (if enabled) is checked. Then check the “password” with the codes associated with it and enabled (time slots, customer code, service code). Once the conditions have been verified, the door opening is enabled and, if set, the courtesy light is switched on and the reading result is sent to the bus.
